"You don't even go somewhere else, I tell you, there's nothing like Munich. Everything else is a waste of time in Germany." - Ernest Hemingway

Follow the advice of Hemingway and come to Munich!

I propose you classic city tours by foot or bus or themed tours in and around Munich.
The history of the humble monastic settlement, for example, which later became the headquarters of the Holy Roman-Germanic Empire, the royal residence and the art metropolis, and finally one of the most important university town and business center of Germany. Discover the masterpieces of the pinacothecs and let yourself be inspired by richly decorated churches and palaces - a must for visitors interested by art and culture.

There are special prices and guided tours for school classes.

You can find some ideas bellow but the best thing to do is to get in touch with me.

City guided tour in Munich:    The castles

The Munich Residence - 450 years of Wittelsbach history

The Residenz belongs to the most beautifull and interesting palaces in Europe. The construction started in the 14th century and lasted 450 years!

The city palace was the headquarters of the Wittelsbach family until 1919, the residence of the dukes, electors and kings of Bavaria, but also of Emperor Charles VII. German and French emperors, foreign kings, world-class artists and later important politicians visited this place. Completely destroyed in the Second World War and the Residenz was rebuilt in its entirety with lots of love and great attention to details and the help of Munich's citizens. The splendor of the once important building can be admired again today.

Munich and the National Socialism

As 1923 Adolf Hitler tried a military coup in Munich nobody could imagine, what would happened 10 years later. The so called “Beer Hall Putsch” failed but 1933 Hitler was elected chancellor and Munich became the capital of the “Mouvement”.

Our tour takes us to numerous places steeped in history from this period. We follow Hitler's footsteps, from his first appearances in the restaurant "Zum Sternecker" to the major rallies at Königsplatz. We walk to the most important places (Führerbau, University…) and we talk about the “White Rose” a student resistance organization.

And we do not only visit the politically significant places on this tour. You also try to understand how it could happen.

Memorial of Dachau

As the Munich police chief Heinrich Himmler announced the opening of the Dachau concentration camp on March 20, 1933, few suspected that this name would forever become synonymous with SS violence and National Socialist terror.

Almost 80 years later, the voice of the survivors slowly but surely disappears. The concentration camp memorial is a legacy for future generations. "It is designed to help save mankind from having to repeat a similar disaster," said General André Delpech, a survivor.

A tour of the memorial and the exhibition gives an idea of the conditions that prisoners had to endure in the camp.
